The 2010 Toyota Tundra is the best truck on
the road today with well-equipped equivalent
options and safety features. It is smaller
than Ford, Dodge, and General Motors trucks.
Tundra is the larger of Toyota's two
pickup-truck lines and changes for 2010
include cosmetic tweaks, standard antilock
brakes, and a flared-fender cargo bed. We
compiled the specs and information in our
2010 Toyota Tundra review to assist those
interested in leasing or buying a new truck
but who have not yet completed their
research. The Toyota Tundra offers a V6
engine which is available with manual or
automatic transmission, its V8 with
automatic only.
Both are available with rear-wheel drive
or with 4WD that must be disengaged on dry
pavement but includes low-range gearing.
Tundra does not offer a 4-dr crew cab, unlike
its domestic rivals. Its 2-dr regular cab
has an 8-ft cargo bed and its Access Cab
extended-cab has a 6.5-ft bed. Access Cabs
have a 3-passenger rear bench seat and rear-hinged
back doors that don't open independently
of the front doors. New for '03 is a V8
Access Cab with a flared-fender StepSide
cargo box. It is important to compare visibly
the features on our 2010 Toyota Tundra picture
with those available on other trucks.
The Tundra looks compact and well-balanced
and actually has a slightly smaller footprint
than its American counterparts.
