The 2008 Chrysler Concorde is a full-size
sedan offering both performance and
sophistication with its trademark grille
design, chrome edging, and quad projector
headlamps. Welcome to our 2008 Chrysler
Concorde review. New for this year, the
Concorde comes in three different models:

LX, which combines front independent suspension
and gas-charged MacPherson struts with
rear independent suspension and Chapman
struts.
- Concorde
Lxi, which offers these technologies and
more, boasting the additional Low-Speed
Traction Control and speed proportional
power steering.
- Concorde
Limited, which boasts all of the best
amenities known to man, from a HomeLink
Universal Transceiver to Royale leather-trimmed
seats.
A
sophisticated engine that runs like a thoroughbred
is the crown jewel of every Concorde, as
most 2008 Chrysler Concorde reviews note.
Concorde engines are as much as 25 percent
more powerful than their design predecessors,
yet they improved overall efficiency by
nearly 10 percent, cut some emissions by
a full 30 percent. The 3.5-liter High-Output
V6 on Concorde Limited delivers 250 horsepower
at 6,400 rpm and 250 pounds-per-foot of
torque at 3,900 rpm. On the Concorde LXi,
a 232-horsepower 3.5-liter 24 valve V6 is
equipped with a three-plenum intake manifold
for optimum midrange and wide-open throttle
power. Finally, the Concorde LX boasts a
2.7-liter 24-valve V6 that sports smooth-running
dual overhead camshafts and delivers 200
horsepower, making it one of today's most
potent engines.
