2008 Chevrolet S-10 is the toughest truck on
the road. The occupants can feel safe inside
as it has got dual airbags w/passenger side
deactivation switch, 4-wheel antilock brakes
and steel side door beams. Available in six
different models:
- S-10 base model
- LS, which boasts a five-speed manual transmission with
Overdrive, a choice of Vortec engines, a steel ladder-type
frame and a durable, independent front suspension
- S-10 ZR2, which comes with a Wide-Stance Performance Package, Insta-Trac 4x4, a reinforced wide-stance chassis,
an Underbody Shield Package and the most ground clearance of any S-10 pickup model
- Xtreme, which offers low, street-cruising look with a
Sport Suspension Package, further enhanced by a front air
dam and aluminum wheels
- Crew Cab 4x4, which includes four doors, seating for five,
Insta-Trac 4x4 and a standard factory-installed bed liner
- S-10 ZR5, with Spectra Gray wheel flares and bumpers, 15" cast-aluminum five-spoke wheels, side steps, bed rails,
roof rack and ZR5 decals.
All 2008 Chevy Silverado trucks are also are available with
Regular and Extended Cab models, with more front head and
shoulder room than comparable Ford Ranger models. For more

No matter what kind of load you need to haul, the Vortec engines in Chevy S-10 models provide the dependable power you
need. Most S-10 trucks offer a choice of a Vortec 2200 four-cylinder engine or a Vortec 4300 V6 engine. The Vortec 2200
four-cylinder engine provides 120 horsepwer at 5000 rpm and 140 pounds-per-foot of torque at 3600 rpm, while the Vortec
4300 V6 engine provides 190 horsepower at 4400 rpm and 250 pounds-per-foot of torque at 2800 rpm. S-10 performance
is enhanced by variable-ratio power steering, and is easy to maintain, as well, considering that engine coolant change intervals
are up to five years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first.
