The new 2008 BMW M5 is a potent 4 door 5
passenger performance driving machine. It is
perhaps the finest luxury sports sedan ever
developed. BMW M5 is quite a ride even as a
sedan. Driving a new 2008 BMW M5, you
quickly realize that you are driving one of
the world's most powerful automobiles.
This
claim can be substantiated by revealing
the 2008 BMW M5's performance specs. The
new M5 is equipped with an 5.0 liter, v-8
engine that develops a horsepower of 394@6600
and torque of 368@3800 that is harnessed
with a 6-speed manual transmission to keep
your hand on all that power. The 2008 M5
differs very little from last year's model.

M5 Information
|
| There is so much state of the art technology in the new 2008 BMW M5 that this will begin to sound like a technical manual rather that a review. BMW uses double-Vanos variable valve timing to maximize power and fuel efficiency all through the RPM range while reducing emissions. The power plant of the new 2008 BMW M5 is a 32 valve aluminum 90 degree engine harnessed through a 6-speed transmission and a heavy duty clutch.
Pulling our heads out from under the hood, we can also enjoy the luxury exterior of the 2008 BMW M5, including its optional 19 inch polished alloy wheels and tires. Offering new dimensions of power and performance, the new 2008 BMW M5 is the future of high performance sports sedans. Engineered and designed with characteristic understated elegance, the BMW M5 pushes the envelope of the luxury sedan concept. The M5 is designed with confidence and smooth aerodynamic style. The sloping front end and stabilizing rear contour help keep the 2008 BMW M5 stuck to the road and rolling straight.
BMW is
known for its safety and performance enhancing features,
such as the Emergency Reduced Engine Power which allows
operation with cylinder shutdown up to 62-mph. Safety
features include: dual stage driver airbag, door mounted
front side airbags, and passenger airbag cutoff sensor
activated by passenger weight. Many of these features
were originated by BMW, and on the new BMW M5 are standard
or optional features.

The BMW
3-Series, the BMW 5-Series
and the BMW 7-Series are
among today's most revered models of any auto maker
the world over. The tradition of engineering excellence
combined with the stylish and often extravagant appointments
- its no wonder BMW's are so popular.
The BMW
M-Series is in a class all to its own. The BMW
M3 and the BMW M5 make
this a class distinguishable from all the rest. The
roadster class brings us the BMW
Z3, the BMW Z4 and of course
the BMW Z8 excitement! Our
last BMW entry is the BMW X5
sport utility vehicle. Alone in its class - it sets
new standards for the rest of the field. This is one
sport utility with allot of class!
