The 2008 Acura CL is powerful, superbly
responsive, agile and connects you to the

2008 Acura CL offers two versions - the
225-horsepower CL and the 260-horsepower
2008 Acura CL Type-S. Both of these models
hug corners firmly and effortlessly, thanks
to the help of Vehicle Stability Assist
in the automatic, or a new short-throw,
close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission
instead. 2008 Acura CL performance under
the hood: the engines in both models of

(Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control)
system, the first-ever variable valve timing system
for cars; an advanced double-wishbone upper and lower
control arm suspension system; drive-by-wire throttle;
and the development of advanced safety systems like
a dual-stage front passenger's air bag, a height- and
position-sensing side impact air bag for the front passenger,
and the Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) system. All this
is evident in the engineering aspect of the Acura
Type-S vehivle. Acura engineering has set benchmarks
for other marques, for nearly as long as there have
been Acura cars.
